Dr. Amber Dawson

Dr. Dawson is the Owner and Optometrist at Focus Eye Care in Naperville, IL. She is a member of both the Illinois Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. A graduate of Florida State University for undergraduate, Dr. Dawson received her professional Doctoral degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. She completed her clinical training in affiliation with the Lowell Veterans Administration Medical Center of Massachusetts and Westside Veterans Administration Medical Center of Illinois.

Dr. Dawson has considerable experience in primary eye care, ocular disease management, pediatric eye care for children & teens and specialty contact lenses fitting. She has been the recipient of numerous awards of distinction in the fields of pediatric eye care and vision rehabilitation. She has also received Cole Vision’s Clinical Excellence Award. Dr. Dawson has been featured on various television programs including Channel 7 News. As an experienced research consultant for contact lens manufacturers, Dr. Dawson has specific expertise and interest in the care of contact lens patients.

Dr. Dawson enjoys being involved and volunteering her time at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and at her children's school All Saints Catholic Academy.

It is her vision to provide comprehensive eye care to all patients in a high-tech setting while also retaining the feeling of a very personalized and comfortable experience.
